Prospective Students
BECOME PART OF THE UCLA CORPS OF CADETS!
The UCLA Department of Military Science offers one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of the UCLA curriculum. During classes and field training, you will learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as an Officer in the United States Army.
When you graduate as an Army ROTC cadet, you will earn the rank of Second Lieutenant and be ready to start your career in a wide range of different branches and specialties. (Find out more about the Army branches).
We encourage cadets to major in any of the academic disciplines offered at UCLA. A cadet's major does not dictate which branch the cadet will begin his/her service to the country after graduation.
Not a UCLA student? Students from area schools without an Army ROTC program on campus can become part of the Bruin Battalion. (Find out more about Participating Schools).
